    The Impact Of (Positive Thinking) On Your Health, Your Work, And Your Life.

    Most people will prefer to be positive rather than negative, having accepted this; you have to realize that positive thinking sounds useful on the surface.

    Just like many people could dismiss this healthy habit influencer known as “positive thinking” easily in such a fluffy manner should be a thing to worry about.

    But those kind of view are now passed-away and researches are beginning to disclose with intense attitude that positive thinking go beyond just being happy or displaying an upbeat attitude.

    Positive thoughts can actually create real value in your life and help you build skills that last much longer than a smile.

    The impact of positive thinking on your health, your work, and your life can not be over-emphasized. A researcher called Barbara Fredrickson, a positive psychology researcher at the University of North Carolina has this to say in her publication:

    THE EFFECT OF NEGATIVE THOUGHT TO YOUR BRAIN
    In this aspect now, we are going to play along with each other, assuming you are walking along a path inside the forest and suddenly a fierce Lion jump out of the bush. What do you think your brain will first do, “it will register an alert” and what this will definitely be is a negative thought called “fear”.

    Yes! Researchers have long known that negative emotions program your brain to do a specific action. When that fierce Lion crosses your path, for example, you run. The rest of the world does not matter. You are focused entirely on the fierce Lion, the fear it creates, and how you can get away from it.

    This negative emotion will narrow your mind and make you ignore all other possible options thereby closing the window for outside the world all you want to do is run out of the fierce Lion.

    Though, in this modern world we do not run away from fierce lion any longer but our daily habits and life to life activities calls for positive emotions to help grow health-wise and otherwise.

    In this case, your brain closes off from the outside world and focuses on the negative emotions of fear— just like it did with the fierce Lion. Negative emotions prevent your brain from seeing the other options and choices that surround you. It is your survival instincts remember.

    Having specified the effect of negative thought on our brain, let us compare this to what positive emotions do to your brain. And Barbara Fredrickson has to return here with her story.

    EFFECTS OF POSITIVE THOUGHTS TO YOUR BRAIN
    The impact of positive thought on brain was tested by Fredrickson by a little experiment she set-up. She divided her research subjects into 5 groups and showed each group different film clips. Below are the details of her division:

    1. The first two groups were shown clips that created positive emotions. Group 1 saw images that created feelings of joy. Group 2 saw images that created feelings of contentment.

    2. Group 3 was the control group. They saw images that were neutral and produced no significant emotion.


    3. The last two groups were shown clips that created negative emotions. Group 4 saw images that created feelings of fear. Group 5 saw images that created feelings of anger.

    Each participant were handed a paper that bears; “I would like to…” and asked to imagine themselves being into the viewed situations and write down what they felt like.

    Participants who saw images of fear and anger wrote down the fewest responses. Meanwhile, the participants who saw images of joy and contentment wrote down a significantly higher number of actions that they would take, even when compared to the neutral group.

    This is to show that, when one experience positive emotion like joy, contentment and love there is tendencies of seeing more possibilities in life. These findings were among the first that proved that positive emotions broaden your sense of possibility and open your mind up to more options.

    HOW TO FORM THE HABIT OF POSITIVE THINKING IN YOUR LIFE
    Negativity do not pay off at last, here are what to do to increase and form the habit of positive thinking. You know yourself very well more than I do; you know what sparks feelings of joy, contentment and love in you.

    Well spoken, below are 3 ideas to increase and form the habit of positive thinking……

    1. Do you sometimes meditate? (MEDITATION):

    According to research, people who meditate daily display more positive emotions than those who do not. They build valuable long–term skills. And continue to display increased mindfulness, purpose in life, social support, and decreased illness symptoms.


    2. How many times have you written about positive things? (WRITING).

    Writing about positive experiences brings about better mood levels, fewer visits to the health center, and fewer illnesses will be experienced.


    3. Why not schedule time to play? (PLAY)

    Often we schedule time for meetings, conference calls, weekly events, and other responsibilities into our daily calendars. Let me ask us these questions: When was the last time you blocked out an hour on your calendar just to explore and experiment? When the last time was you intentionally carved out time to have fun?

    You see, we seems to have made it a perpetual habit assuming that being happy is less important than our meetings, and yet, our attitude reveals that we never care to take out time for play.

    Think positively and subdue your subconscious mind with positive thoughts that will better your health and growth, which will eventually bring a better world closer to your community.

    No more negativity because, according to our lecture today, with negative thought your health is even at danger, not only the individual or thing in which that negative thought is channeled to.
